What is a deferred deposit, or
post-dated check advance?
A short-term money advance of loan proceeds
provided until your next payday when we will
electronically take the loan amount out of
your account.
How does this advance work?
We make a cash advance against your post
dated check or electronic payment draft of up
to $600 (plus 4% Hawaii State GET) until your next payday.
What is an electronic payment draft?
An electronic payment draft is a draft that
is electronically debited from your savings or
checking account.
What are your requirements?
We require your most recent bank
statement from your checking or savings
account with
direct payroll deposit, 2 most recent pay stubs or income
verification form, most recent telephone
bill and identification issued by the
State of Hawaii (driver’s license or ID
card).
What is the charge for this service?
A fee of 15% (plus 4% Hawaii State GET) of the face amount of the
check or electronic payment draft is charged
for the advance.
What if I have bad credit?
We do not do a formal credit check.
You will be qualified and scored based on the information
you submit with your application.
What if I get social security?
We can give advances to people on social
security based upon their income and it being
directly deposited into your bank account.
What if I do not have a driver’s
license or I.D. card?
We cannot make advances to people without a
current driver’s license or Hawaii State
I.D. card.
How long do you give advances for?
We can give up to 31 days to pay back the
advance. However, the due date must be
set to coincide with your payday.
Could I make payments on my advance if I
can’t afford to pay off the full amount?
PayDayHawaii understands that expenses come
up, and we are willing to work with you.
If you know that you won't have enough money
in your account to cover your advance by the
due date, CALL US! If we do not hear
from you, you may incur additional late
charges and bank NSF fees.
The next time I come in do I have to
bring all the requirements again?
Only if anything changes, but once you apply for an advance you become a
member and are in the system.
If I already have an advance, can I make
another one?
You can only have one advance out at a
time.
What if I have filed bankruptcy?
If six months or more has past since your
bankruptcy, we may still be able to give you
an advance. Please discuss this with our representative.
If I find out late that the check I
authorized you to cash will not be good, what
should I do?
It is very important that you contact us
immediately! If not, you could be
charged extra fees on top of what you already
owe!
Do you have to deposit my check, or can
you hold it so I can pick it up?
You may redeem your check or electronic
payment draft for cash at any of our
locations.
